DROPS Sky is an exceptionally soft, airy and lightweight yarn that combines baby alpaca, merino wool and polyamide in a unique chainette construction. Thanks to its braided structure, the yarn feels warm and insulating while remaining incredibly light, making it ideal for sweaters, cardigans, scarves, hats and other comfortable garments.
Sky is an excellent alternative to mohair – it does not itch, feels gentle against the skin and is suitable even for sensitive wearers. The wide color palette allows you to create both timeless classics and modern knitwear designs.
Baby alpaca provides softness and warmth, merino wool adds elasticity, and polyamide ensures durability and long-lasting wear. This balanced fibre blend makes DROPS Sky suitable for larger projects as well as everyday garments.
The yarn creates a beautiful smooth fabric in stockinette stitch and looks equally impressive in textured patterns and cables.
DROPS Sky is certified according to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, Class I, meaning it is safe for babies (0–3 years) and children. Produced in Peru/EU using alpaca and wool from South America and polyamide from Italy.
